A Smarter Sock: Incredisocks
I never thought much about the socks I chose to wear. Whether I was on the lacrosse field, running a marathon, running around a hospital during residency, standing for hours in an OR–I just grabbed whatever, usually white, cotton sock I could find a match to. Now, however, I dare to say that I am a sock snob. Yes, I’ve swapped out nearly my entire sock draw to fill with socks called ‘Incredisocks.’ There is some pretty incredi-ble technology behind these socks. They are both antimicrobial and they increase blood flow due to carbonized charcoal technology so I have made them a part of several of my patient treatment protocols (ie, no more stinky feet). What a recent post by a Runner’s World blogger revealed is that they also improve skin tone. And I have to agree. Try applying ARCH Sole Savor Creme to dry heels, them slip on Incredisocks. Do that for 2 weeks and I bet you’ll notice the difference. My favorite Incredisocks are the Pro-3s pictured here, in varying ankle lengths (ie, ‘no sho’ for spinning, ‘cut above’ for ankle boots, etc.) Any my tip is to buy a size down so they fit a little snugger. Trust me, just try ’em!
