Surgical Correction of the Foot & Ankle

Services Overview

Dr. Archer’s goal is to perform surgical correction procedures to the foot or ankle, when required, to restore normal alignment and function as quickly as possible. For example, during bunion surgery, cuts may need to be made in the bone(s) to restore the normal position and alignment. This may require utilization of screws and/or pins to hold the bones in proper position. Following bunion surgery, a surgical boot (like a ski boot) is worn for 3-6 weeks, followed by a supportive sneaker with orthotics. Some patients return to work in 1 week. Most patients can return to their normal routine in 6 weeks.Dr. Archer uses cutting edge technology to provide safe, minimally-invasive treatment and avoid surgery whenever possible. Her foremost concern is providing an excellent patient experience for you or your loved ones.
